bahia de los angeles, mission san javier, catvina cactus forests & the 100-mile ocean stretch down todo santos
Begin an hour's drive south of the US/Mexico border in the valley metropolis of Tecate, Mexico. Feel the liberation born from traversing 200+ miles sunup to sundown with nothing but the pack on your back and the support of fellow riders. Finish this 10 day trip (with 7 full-ride days) outside the turquoise coves of La Paz at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula. Between the two lies the makings of a stronger you.
With your group, experience green hillsides dotted with wildflowers giving way to stoney peaks, followed by single track trails in the center of dizzying valley walls. Follow beaten up ex-Baja 1,000 routes to cactus forests and under great boojum trees, crossing over beaches and ocean inlets as you change elevation. Spend your nights resting in small fishing or mountain towns, meeting the locals, and enjoying the local cuisine. You just might find yourself remembering why the journey itself is the reward.
