FREE AIR COMPRESSOR! I'm throwing it away! Nitro Mousses HELD UP to the Tenere 700 abuse!
I ran my rear Nitro SOFT, as in Low 8-10 psi equivalent for 3,000 miles and it never gave out!
(Stiffer than I ran is recommended)
If ran stiffer closer to 14-18 psi it would last even longer
This mousse did
-1,000 mile phoenix to Vegas ADV run in summer desert temps (100+ degrees)
-A 5 day weekend with Pol Tarres in Moab hard Enduro riding
-5 Miles of Hell Record Breaking 1st ADV bike to finish the entire trail!
-500 mile Coloroado Mountian peak adv trip
-2 day run in baja mexico to winery and back
- 500 mile Grand Canyon Dual sport
-Phoenix2 Sedona 320mile overnight trip
-1 day of Wide Open Volcano Hill Climbs in Flagstaff.

Only relubed it once at 1500 miles when the first tire was replaced.
(Nitro was still wet when taken out)
Used Nitro Silicone Lube (never cheap Murphys lube cuz that stuff will dry out prematurely).

As you can see in photos, it has shrunken after the heat abuse. And I'd still run it longer if I could in a smaller tire, but the sides have started shaving off. The sides shaved off because I was running it so soft, and the side carcass of the tire was flexing so much wearing out the sides.
If it was ran stiffer, higher psi equivalent, the moose would've lasted even longer.
I plan on getting a new one and doing a massive big adventure bike trip down to Cancun on a stiff moose and see if it will last 5000 miles
.

This is intended for people that ride mostly off-road adventure routes on more technical rocky terrain. And you want to do long distance travel without carrying the weight of air tubes and pumps
If you are someone that rides in 5th to 6th Gear majority of the time hauling ass down gravel roads and tarmac, you do not want mousses.
This moose set up is ideal for more technical cross-country travel such as rocky 2 track trails, sand washes, mountain peak conquering and the occasional single track.
An all day technical ride for mousses is only 150-200 miles

An all day gravel/asphalt is 250-350 miles and more ideal for tubes

605 mile baja singletrack exploration mission complete. Looking back,it was crazy to do so with no chase support. It was nerve racking to ride into the peninsula with no hotels reserved and an only faint idea of which town we'd emerge at each night.
We made it back with only a thimble of premix oil remaining, chains held together with hopes and prayers, managed to carry enough gas on our laps for long fuel stretches, found a spare tire to replace a broken bead mid trip, and managed to negotiate last minute triple rate hotel prices when none were left remaining and sun was going down.
And that's exactly what we signed up for.
Traveling through the unknown and only being able to rely on ourselves and the hospitality of baja to find our way through the thick of it was our idea of an adventure.
Trying to prepare for the unknown and having the confidence to take on whatever is thrown our way was so exciting.
We were told by naysayers to fear cartel, dead ends, and a plethora of unwelcoming community
What we found was grandsons& grandmas revealing new pathways to us, breathtaking Cliffside scenery, we were met with abundance and shared equipment we needed to complete our mission.Everytime we needed a route,part or food,we were granted.
Sometimes each one of us came forward with a solution or someone we've never met helped us get through

We found 1 extremely amazing ocean singletrack day
We found 1 well needed secret passage through the belly of the peninsula
We found the direct singletrack route into bougie fine wine dining restaurant
We found 1 super solid old baja race route through iconic 4k ft mountain grade
And we found we need to reroute our final singletrack day that ran parallel to the border as we ran into federales patrolling the area and new closed fences

6 men that all new eachother from the past,all banned together to get ourselves to the finish line each night.The margaritas never stopped mixing and we could never finish the last taco because somehow we rode all day and our moto pants kept getting tighter

Broken chain in 3 places out in Baja. We should have bought a @tacomoto.co chain adjustment tool because these new gen Ktm's need a LOT more slack than last years.
luckily we had three master links and a chain press. That got us back home to safety
